Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere" with Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning will be released in December and I'm looking forward to the soundtrack. I equate Coppola movies to the hip hop/Blaxploitation films of the 90s like "Soul Plane" where the songs selected for the film were more important than the script itself. I'm sure I'm exaggerating because I actually like Coppola's movies but I do like her music selections. Look out for lo-fi Julien Casablancas and Phoenix. I'm sure some vintage My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive will be thrown into the mix. "Listen close and don't be stoned...Allison, I'm lost..."
