First time going to Tribeca Film Festival and really excited. Can't wait to finally see 2 Days in Paris.
Possibly coming to Tribeca but saw a screener it is The Bubble.
The film begins with the hip threesome working hard in their professions, debating the merits of George Michael versus Morrissey and discussing Israeli Idol. They make is it obvious that they don't care about the country's problems or the conflicts of the Middle East. But when they hang out at a neighborhood café and make sure to not sit by the window, it becomes apparent that their care-free attitudes are just a façade—they are quite aware of the current political climate. And when the three Israelis decide to illegally hide Noam’s Palestinian lover in their apartment thereby making him part of their family, they soon learn that love and friendship cannot withhold the harsh realities of their existence.
Eytan Fox and his magnetic cast deliver a challenging and poignant take on impossible love and irreconcilable differences and is worth seeing. On the other hand, the cruel existence, which compels one of them to carry out an extreme, almost insufferable action, will probably leave viewers very troubled.
